Taking responsibility for how people and the environment are affected by Nordic Modular's operation is an import element of our long-term development and profitability.

A good image is not merely a matter of economic success, but also the result of the way in which we run our business. As a business and an employer, Nordic Modular strives to be a responsible company. Corporate responsibility applies to social, ethical and environmental responsibility toward our employees and customers as well as to the community.
Environment
The Temporent and Flexator subsidiaries are environmentally certified according to ISO 14001 standards and have also formulated their own environmental policies. Environmental efforts focus on minimising the environmental impact of development, production and handling of our products. We avoid all materials and methods posing environmental hazards. Care for the environment also implies an economical use of resources as well as placing demands on our own, our suppliers' and our contractor's environmental work as long as it is environmentally justified, technically possible and economically defensible.
In 2011, Temporent offset its climate impact for all module transports by purchasing emission allowances and thereby supporting the climate efforts undertaken by the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation. The company has also identified the tenants’ energy consumption for heating during the rental period as a considerable environmental aspect. A development project was begun in 2011 which aims as reducing energy consumption in both newly produced modules and in existing modular arrangements.
Social and Ethical Responsibility
Nordic Modular runs its operation using legitimate business practices. An obvious basis for the ethical guidelines is that the company, through its employees, shall respect the applicable laws and other regulations and adhere to international conventions for human rights, labour and the environment.
Community Involvement
Many of Nordic Modular’s products are used as school premises. The Temporent and Flexator subsidiaries therefore support operations involved in the well-being of children such as Friends and BRIS.
